Avant Amour ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use avantamour.in, why we collect it, how we look after it, and the choices and rights you have.
We keep this short and in plain language on purpose. If anything here is unclear, contact us using the details at the end.
Who we are
Avant Amour is a founder-led qualitative research firm based in India, led by Arrpita Ghosh Hajra. For the purposes of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act"), we are the data fiduciary responsible for the personal data described below.
Avant Amour is registered in Delhi, India.
What personal data we collect
We only collect what we need, in two situations:
When you contact us. If you submit the contact form on our site, we collect the details you provide: your name, email address, company name, and the message you write. We collect this so we can respond to your enquiry.
When you browse the site (only if you allow it). We use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the site — for example which pages are read most. Analytics only runs if you accept it in the cookie banner shown on your first visit. If you decline, no analytics data is collected. If you accept, Google sets cookies and collects standard usage data (such as pages viewed and approximate location), which helps us improve the site. We do not use this data to identify you personally.
We do not run advertising, we do not sell your data, and we do not build marketing profiles of you.
Why we use your data and our legal basis
- To respond to your enquiry — when you contact us, we use your details only to reply and to discuss a possible research engagement. This is processing based on your request and consent.
- To improve the site — analytics data is used only in aggregate, and only with your consent given through the cookie banner.
We will not use your data for any new purpose without telling you first.
Who we share it with
We do not share your personal data with anyone for their own use. We do rely on a small number of trusted service providers (data processors) who handle data on our behalf, under their own security and privacy commitments:
- Netlify — hosts our website and stores contact-form submissions. Netlify is based in the United States.
- Google — provides Google Analytics (site usage data, with your consent) and Google Workspace (the email account that receives your enquiry, connect@avantamour.in). Google operates internationally, including in the United States.
Because these providers operate outside India, your data may be processed on servers in other countries, including the United States. We choose providers that offer appropriate safeguards for the data they handle.
How long we keep it
We keep contact-form enquiry data only as long as we need it to respond to you and to manage any resulting engagement. Enquiries that do not lead to a working relationship are deleted within 12 months.
Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' standard retention settings.
How we protect it
We take information security seriously. Avant Amour is certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022 (information security management) and ISO 9001:2015 (quality management). We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, or unauthorised access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data in line with these standards.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct or update inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Request erasure of your personal data where it is no longer needed.
- Withdraw consent at any time (for analytics, you can decline or clear cookies; for an enquiry, you can ask us to delete your details).
- Raise a grievance about how we handle your data and have it addressed.

Cookies
Our site uses cookies only for analytics, and only after you accept them in the consent banner. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser cookies for this site, which will prompt the banner again.
Children
Our site and services are intended for business users and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" above. Material changes will be made clear on this page.
